At Key Stage 3, our Classics curriculum at The Rosewood School offers students a rich and exciting introduction to the ancient worlds of Greece and Rome. Through myth, literature, language, and history, students explore the stories, beliefs, and daily life of classical civilisations that continue to shape the modern world. From epic heroes and legendary battles to Latin phrases and archaeological discoveries, students develop critical thinking, cultural awareness, and a love of learning that spans subjects and centuries.
In Term 6, students have chosen to turn their attention to British History, diving into the people, events, and ideas that have shaped the nation over centuries. From the Tudors to the World Wars, and from the Industrial Revolution to the origin of witches, students will explore key turning points and their lasting impact on modern Britain.
Through research projects, debates, creative writing, and source analysis, students investigate themes such as power, protest, innovation, and identity.
